Enchantress Corset, Size S/M - Ophelia Colorway - Turquoise & Gold Celestial
Inspired by my namesake, Venefica, which in Latin loosely means either enchantress or woman who poisons ;), this is my "fussiest" and most unique corset style. The straps are removable and adjustable at front and back, and the center front panel can be removed and swapped out for more color options. Sizing on these works similar to my regular corsets, but I do recommend going up a size. For example, if you normally wear a 24 in my regular sizing, you are probably best off with a 26 (M) in this style, unless you want larger gaps at the side front and back. These have a shorter Waspie style hip, and a gentler curve with a bit less of a hipspring. Double thick steel is encased at all lacing areas for sturdy lacing.
This particular corset is made from a stunning Turkish tapestry in turquoise and light gold moon and stars patterned chenille with a coordinating stomacher panel in turquoise, gold, and red (stomacher reverses to another Turkish chenille in turquoise and gold). It's trimmed in turquoise and gold iridescent silk dupioni bias. It laces up with turquoise polypro laces through brass grommets.
In some of the photos, it is shown with a Fringe Belt over it. That piece is sold separately.
Size S/M:
Actual measurements: 29" bust, 24" waist, 31" upper hip fully closed
14" front length
11" side length (6 3/4" above waist)
14 1/2" back length
15" shortest waist to shoulder measurement with straps fully closed
Best fits: Bust 32-36", Waist 26-29", Upper Hip 31-36"
Each corset I make is engineered to take abuse. All corsets are:
- Secured with 4 rows of stitching at every seam
- Reinforced at the waist with non-stretch waist tape
- Interlined with a layer of durable cotton coutil or canvas to prevent poke-throughs and to keep the fancy outer fabric strong
- Boned with both spiral and flat steel, all strategically placed depending on corset size for maximum curves and support
- Set with two part metal grommets made by a military grade manufacturer
- Laced up with durable, easy to pull polypropylene corset lacing
- Lined in (and unexpectedly, often reversible to) pretty damasks and jacquards
