Black Friday/Cyber Week Sales Event
Sale time is almost upon us again, so I wanted to get all of the details I've been discussing elsewhere all condensed into one location for easy access. If anyone thinks up a question that I do not address here, please contact me on Facebook, where you will receive the quickest reply.
I will be running this sale exclusively on Etsy. The shop address is www.etsy.com/shop/VeneficaCorsetry. It's the easiest platform for me to get everything in one place and keep it fairly organized. Please note that everything I will be listing is essentially one of a kind and not replaceable. If there is some massive glitch and an item gets oversold, all but the first buyer will be refunded as soon as the error is caught. I don't anticipate any issues, but I do want to be upfront about that to avoid any possible confusion later. This is my second sale of this magnitude, and I'm bound to have a few hiccups in the process. I thank you all profusely in advance for the patience. <3
The Black Friday Ensemble Box sale will begin on Etsy at 8pm Central Time on Friday evening. On the following Monday, I will be listing the outfit building sets (4+ pieces, all curated to fit a theme. None will have a corset as they all went into the outfit listings), chemise/bloomer bundles, extra skirt bundles, jackets and bustles that are still left over, and whatever other mix and match goodness remains after all of that. As a side note here, custom orders will not be included in the sale this time. I will be closing down customs for the year, and won't be opening them again until mid to late June (yep, June. There *may* be a mid-February listing for the semi-custom corsets again, but probably not. I intend to offer much more ready to ship stock this coming year instead), so this will be the last chance to grab some of the combos I currently offer, possibly forever, as I intend to replace them with new pretties in 2020.
The first batch of listings on Friday will all include complete ensembles. That means that every set will come with a chemise (all Willow Blouses, Cora Chemises, Faun Dresses, and Ragamuffin Dresses count in this), corset, and at least 2 other pieces. This can include 2 skirts, or a shrug, or a cuff or cuff set, or a bustle. Or a mix of several. As a note, there are a few that are only 3 pieces (because Ragamuffins count as skirt and chemise since they are both in one, and Pinwheels act like 2 skirts when worn). Every outfit is guaranteed to have at least a retail value of $400, although most of them are closer to $475+. Probably half of them are near or over $500. They will all be listed at a flat $250 plus shipping (more on shipping later. Please read down!). Now, I would LOVE to be able to show you exactly what is in every single one of these. But that takes time. And I wouldn't be able to offer them at this much of a discount. I'm not a huge fan of shopping completely blind, though, and I know a lot of you already have items from me that you want to coordinate/contrast with, so I will provide some basic details about the ensembles you are purchasing. I won't be providing photos (unless the exact corset in the ensemble is already miraculously photographed and quickly accessible as we are setting up the listings, in which case, I will post what photos I am able to). What I will be providing you with is the corset size, corset style (Waspie, Underbust, Rita, Long Line Underbust, Overbust, and Enchantress), and the overall outfit color scheme. These will all be sold as is, and there will be NO REFUNDS, RETURNS, OR EXCHANGES. Since I know many of you prefer one type of event to another, I will also be noting whether or not a specific outfit is more "Ren Faire" or "Steampunk" friendly, and if an outfit is super specific, ie. a Wonder Woman inspired cosplay outfit, or a Kaylee outfit, that will be noted as well. All sizes from 20 through 42 will be represented in the listings. Please, please, please view my sizing page in advance of this sale and ASK QUESTIONS EVEN IF YOU ARE MOSTLY SURE ON SIZING. I'm available for fairly quick replies, even on the holiday, and I really, really, really want you all to get beautiful things that fit perfectly. If you are in doubt about anything, please ask me!
I will also be noting in each listing what chemise size, jacket (if included) size, and bustle size (if included) each set consists of. My chemise sizes are fairly flexible, and most people can wear 2 or even 3 different sizes. The only difference between sizes is 4" of body fullness, 2" of sleeve fullness, up to 1/2" body and/or sleeve length, and 1" of elastic coverage at both neck and armbands. That's it. I've included chemise and jacket sizes in all of the listings that I have personally fitted customers of the corresponding corset sizes with in the past, so I'm fairly confident they will fit. Just keep in mind the differences in fullness and such. If you are eyeing a listing with a specific size and want to make sure you know how it will fit before-hand, please let me know NOW. I can help! On Ruffle Bustles, the sizing has nothing to do with who they will fit. The sizes are about coverage. XS has 12", S has 18", M has 26", and L has 32" of waistband ruffle coverage (they are all about 15" long). The ensembles will all have a mix of the different sizes. There are size 22 corsets with M bustles, and size 28 corsets with S bustles. It's all okay! ;) They just either have ruffles coming around to the front, or only in the back. Both look awesome! I'll note bustle sizes on the listings they're included with, though, so that you can make the call for yourself. =)
For shipping, I will be charging a flat $20 for Priority Mail within the US on the outfits. International shipping will be $50 per ensemble (these are all over 4 lbs, which means I can't ship them first class. I have to use Priority. The upside is that it's trackable and way faster. The downside is that the price is awful). Canada shipping is $38. It is important to note that I will ABSOLUTELY ALWAYS COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS. None of these are packed up yet. I *always* refund shipping overages once labels get printed up, so if you buy more than one ensemble (or anything else over the full weekend), I will make sure it's combined into one box with one shipping price. To be upfront, I did add a flat $2 to each box to cover my costs in bribing some assistance in getting these packed up as quickly as possible. As a note, it may take us up to 10-14 days to get this all packed up as shipped out. It is a LOT, and I can only do about 8-10 boxes on average every day. We will be working as fast as we possibly can, but I want to be upfront about that. <3 Shipping on the Monday listings will all run in the $7-12 range, depending on the actual estimated weight of the boxes. I will be putting in some "extra item" shipping prices as well to help reduce what you'll have to pay on shipping upfront, but I'll do my best to get refunds sent ASAP on the overpaid. International shipping on the Monday things will be in the neighborhood of $25, again subject to refunding everything that is overpaid. I know it's not an ideal way to do things, but I think it's the best solution to keep it fair for both of us. =) I highly suggest not waiting to buy your desired box until Monday to combine shipping. Many of these will likely be gone quickly. I will not be doing any packaging until Tuesday, so refunds will start coming out on Tuesday evening for overpaid shipping.
Since I know I cannot guarantee that I will make 100% of you happy (and you have no idea how much sleep I will lose over that!), I do still have the sell and swap page on Facebook that I can moderate and assist with. I encourage you to join it! =)
And lastly, Wednesday is last call for any of you who have custom patterns on file with me. If you would like to know how your custom pattern stacks up vs. my regular off-the-rack pattern to help see if anything on sale will fit well, just let me know. I can pull your pattern and tell you exactly how each style would fit. =) I am putting my pattern files away tomorrow night to get set up for this crazy weekend I have planned for the shop, so they will not be accessible after that!
